The most beautiful drawing in the world


There was a painter who wanted to draw a fine piece of work.
One day, he asked a prospective bride what is the most beautiful thing in the world. And she replied, "Love, it's love. Love can change the poor into the rich, little into much. It makes tears sweet. No love, no beauty." The painter nodded.

He gave the same question to a pastor, and the pastor replied, "Faith.
Earnest faith for God can be said to be most beautiful in the world."
He nodded his assent to the pastor's opinion.

He felt, however, there would be something more beautiful than the ones which two persons thought were most beautiful. A soldier happened to be passing by just then. The painter asked the soldier the same question. Then he made a reply, "Peace is most beautiful and war is most ugly."

At the moment, an idea came to his mind. 'There will be a wonderful piece of work if love, faith, and peace dissolve in one.' He got home brooding over the idea. He found faith in children's eyes. He saw love in his wife's eyes. He realized that there was peace in his home built with love and faith.

Later on, the painter completed the fine piece of work he had wanted to draw. It was "home."
